Tim Glase has been involved in the sports industry for over a decade, working in such capacities including management, marketing, media and communications.
Glase was most recently the General Manager of the Reading Express indoor professional football team, which competes in the nationwide, 22-team Indoor Football League. He is also a consultant and webmaster for Magic Sports Complex & Resort.
To date, Glase’s favorite stint was with the editorial staff of Street & Smith’s SportsBusiness Daily, the leading daily publication on the business of sports. He also held positions with various NASCAR teams and played an integral part in helping NASCAR launch its “Drive for Diversity” minority participant development program in 2004. He holds a B.S. degree in Sport Management from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Progress Avenue has allowed me to contribute to two things that have always been of interest to me: community and sports. This site is my creative twist to the phrase, “Charity Begins at Home.” My spare time has never been so fulfilling. -Tim Glase
In addition, Glase is active in numerous charitable causes, particularly with the National Kidney Foundation. He is also known to dress up as fun characters, including “Jingles the Jester” (pictured), the mascot for the Children’s Theater of Charlotte.
