The NFL Network recently profiled former NFL LB O.J. Brigance, who is currently fighting amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Brigance has set up a foundation, Brigance’s Brigade, to help his cause against this debilitating illness. Brigance spent seven seasons in the NFL, playing for the Miami Dolphins and Baltimore Ravens, after a standout career in the Canadian Football League. Brigance won a Super Bowl ring with the Ravens in 2001.
Brigance is now involved with player development for the Baltimore Ravens. He earned the award for the league’s Best Overall Player Development Program for the past two years and Most Outstanding Internship Program in 2005 (Brigance’s Brigade).
